Engines for the future with low consumption.
The engines are based on the most recent technologies and equally contribute to the vehicle's overall cost-efficiency as do its reliable quality and stable resale value: thanks to the advanced 4-cylinder OM651 diesel engine in three output bands and the superior OM642 V6 diesel engine the Sprinter sets benchmarks in terms of economic efficiency and sustainability. With the OM651 featuring Euro VI emission standard components and the BlueEFFICIENCY package Plus you can achieve consumption figures as low as 6.3 litres per 100 km.
The BlueTEC engines available for the Sprinter are convincing solutions, in both economic and ecological terms: thanks to SCR diesel technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction) the Sprinter meets Euro 6/Euro VI emission standards. This method reduces NOx emissions . The exhaust gas passes through a catalytic converter and nitrogen oxide is converted to nitrogen and water using the water-based AdBlue® additive.
An overview of Sprinter engines:
For the Sprinter Panel Van 214/314 CDI with BlueEFFICIENCY package plus in combination with 6-speed manual transmission and commercial vehicle registration (N1). Fuel consumption urban/extra-urban/combined: 7.7/6.5-6.4/7.0-6.9l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 182–180 g/km[*].
For the Sprinter Panel Van 214/314 CDI with BlueEFFICIENCY package plus in combination with 6-speed manual transmission and passenger car registration (M1). Fuel consumption urban/extra-urban/combined: 7.4/5.7/6.3 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 165 g/km; Efficiency class: A.
The actual consumption figures are dependent, among other things, on the vehicle weight and the equipment chosen.
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) include nitrogen monoxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
